The main event of the month in December was Kimberley Eve winning at Ludlow easily by 11 lengths.

She is a real pleasure to train – she eats, sleeps, loves her work and has a real positive outlook with everything. It was a shame we had to run her out of the handicap, but we had no choice.  We were very hopeful as she had been treated for ulcers since her last run where she finished second so you would think she was bound to improve and that she did.

It was a great reward for Keith Harris, her owner, who had a wretched run of luck with his horses – all good things come to those who wait, in fact he was very unlucky to not get two winners as his other horse got beaten a neck at Exeter when well clear of the rest.

December was a quieter month for runners as racing kept getting called off. There was no doubting that we missed some ideal opportunities for them.

We feel that all the horses are improving, and everyone is working very hard, and we are not quite getting the reward but I am sure that will change with some positive happenings already this month.

Wishing you all a belated Happy New Year.

Hoping everyone is well.

Yours,

Simon
